Rocket IT and Eagle Ranch Team Up for Annual “Run the Ranch 5k”

Duluth, GA – At the core of Rocket IT lies a team of stewards, passionately seeking opportunities to help community members in need. On June 1, 2019, that team is lacing up, hitting the trails, and making a difference in the lives of local children and their families.

In tandem with Eagle Ranch, Rocket IT’s sponsorship of the Run the Ranch 5k affords participants the opportunity to get involved with one of the nations leading nonprofit residential children’s programs.

“Rocket IT’s purpose has always been to help people thrive,” said Rocket IT Founder and CEO, Matt Hyatt. “We believe that Eagle Ranch’s mission fully embodies this objective, and we’re excited to team up in support of such noble efforts.”

Whether you plan on running, walking, or just enjoying the view, attendees will be greeted with a day full of activities for the entire family. This event includes, but is not limited to, the following:

• 5k: From rolling hills to tree-lined trails, this USATF-certified course provides runners with a scenic tour across Eagle Ranch’s 310-acre property.
• Nature Walk: With fewer hills than the traditional 5k, this 1.5-mile walk gives attendees an opportunity to explore the grounds at a leisurely pace.
• Fun Run: Taking a family-friendly approach, this half-mile paved course provides both children and adults with a brief look at the Eagle Ranch campus.

Additionally, for those seeking to lend a helping hand, multiple volunteer roles are available. With positions ranging from Course Guide to Children’s Activity Supervisor, there are a variety of opportunities for you to help make this day a success.

Along with one corporate group being recognized for best team spirit, awards for the Eagle Ranch 5k will be divided into three age groups, with special awards for Overall and Masters’ winners. All proceeds from this event directly benefit Eagle Ranch’s community homes, recreational facilities, and its SACS-accredited school.

This year’s Run the Ranch event kicks off on June 1 at 7:30 AM, and will be held at 5500 Union Church Rd, Flowery Branch, GA 30542. Early-bird registration for this event ends on May 19, with late registration continuing up until the day of the event. While ticket prices vary, participants who register before May 19 will receive the following discounted rates on each event:

• 5k Run/Walk – $25
• Nature Walk – $20
• Fun Run – $15
