Inc. 5000 Awards & Honors

DULUTH, GA -- Inc. magazine has named Rocket IT on the 2018 Inc. 5000 list for the third consecutive year. The Inc. 5000 features the fastest-growing private companies out of nearly seven million in the United States that are moving the economy forward each day.

This year, Rocket IT ranked #3,660 on the 2018 Inc. 5000. Rocket IT ranked #3,571 in 2017 and #3,686 in 2016.

“We strive every day to help our clients thrive. It is at the core of who we are,” said Ryan Bonilla, Rocket IT’s Business Development Manager. “Only when we help others first can we thrive ourselves. We are most excited at making this list again because it is further evidence that we are succeeding in fulfilling our purpose.”

For over 30 years, the Inc. 5000 has honored the remarkable journeys of the fastest-growing companies in the country. Placement on the list is considered the most prestigious recognition for private businesses and business leaders. Only a small fraction of companies are placed on the Inc. 5000 list multiple times.

Rocket IT is the IT partner of choice for Gwinnett County organizations, providing both the strategy and support they need to thrive. Our approach begins with a plan that aligns technology investment with business value. Then, we provide Ideal IT support that focuses on keeping our clients and their teams safe, happy, and productive -  which has been recognized with Gwinnett Chamber of Commerce’s Overall Regional Impact Business Award, garnered us a place on the Inc. 5000 three years in a row, and resulted in a 23-year track record of helping people thrive.

DULUTH, GA – Inc. magazine ranked Rocket IT NO. 3,571, up from the previous year’s spot at NO. 3,686, on its 36th annual Inc. 5000, the most prestigious ranking of the nation’s fastest-growing private companies.

“We’re very honored to be named once again to the Inc. 5000 list,” says Matt Hyatt, Rocket IT Founder, and CEO. “Our ultimate purpose at Rocket IT is to help others thrive. We’re working hard to change the way people think about IT, and I’m proud of how far we’ve come.”

The list represents a unique look at the most successful companies within the American economy’s most dynamic segment— its independent small businesses. Companies such as Microsoft, Dell, LinkedIn, Yelp, and many other well-known names gained their first national exposure as honorees of the Inc. 5000. Complete results of the Inc. 5000, including company profiles and an interactive database that can be sorted by industry, region, and other criteria, can be found at www.inc.com/inc5000.

“This year, the winners have once again placed the bar very high,” says Inc. President and Editor-In-Chief Eric Schurenberg. “Companies that made the list, on average, have grown sixfold since 2013. Over a stretch when the economy grew just 6.7 percent, that’s a result most businesses could only dream of.”

This is the second year Rocket IT has been named to the Inc. 5000 list. Of the tens of thousands of companies that apply to the Inc. 5000 each year, only a fraction have made the list. Only one in three have made the list two times.

Duluth, GA – Rocket IT has been named one of Inc.’s Best Workplaces for 2017, the publication’s second annual ranking in the fast-growing private company sector.

As part of a prominent Inc.com feature, the list is the result of a wide-ranging and comprehensive measurement of private American companies that have created exceptional workplaces through vibrant cultures, deep employee engagement, and stellar benefits.

“By introducing an employee survey into this year’s Best Workplaces selection process, we’ve really raised the bar. Companies that don’t score at the very top of their peer group don’t make the cut. So, our hats are off to the winners. They all excelled at engaging their workers, making them feel appreciated, and aligning them behind a mission. And remember, that’s not just our opinion: The employees told us that themselves,” says Eric Schurenberg, Inc.’s President and Editor In Chief.

What does it take to become a company that workers want to be part of? Inc. magazine says it’s more than good pay and good perks – it’s also about having a clear purpose, a sense of humor, and leadership that makes the two work together.

While researching the entries, Inc. and Quantum saw distinct themes develop:

  • Strong company cultures breed stunning individual and team performance.
  • Workers at the best companies aren’t mesmerized by whatever giveaways seem to be the latest fad—be it gourmet lunches or beer fridges.
  • When employees feel valued by their organization, they are far more likely to be engaged. This single factor proved to be one of the largest drivers of employee engagement.

“Even when things were hard, Rocket IT was always a ‘best place to work’ for me. Our driving purpose is to help others thrive, and that starts in our office,” said Matt Hyatt, Rocket IT’s founder, and CEO. “It’s a huge honor to be endorsed by our team and by Inc.com.”

DULUTH, GA – Inc. magazine today ranked Rocket IT NO. 3,686 on its 35th annual Inc. 5000, the most prestigious ranking of the nation’s fastest-growing private companies. The list represents a unique look at the most successful companies within the American economy’s most dynamic segment— its independent small businesses. Companies such as Microsoft, Dell, Domino’s Pizza, Pandora, Timberland, LinkedIn, Yelp, Zillow, and many other well-known names gained their first national exposure as honorees of the Inc. 5000.

“We are truly honored to be recognized on the Inc. 5000 list,” says Matt Hyatt, Founder, and CEO of Rocket IT. “I’m proud of my team and all that we’ve accomplished together. The driving force behind Rocket IT is a deep desire to help people thrive, and I am hopeful that this recognition helps us continue to fulfill that mission here in our community.”

The 2016 Inc. 5000, unveiled online at Inc.com and with the top 500 companies featured in the September issue of Inc. is the most competitive crop in the list’s history. The Inc. 5000’s aggregate revenue is $200 billion, and the companies on the list collectively generated 640,000 jobs over the past three years, or about 8% of all jobs created in the entire economy during that period. Complete results of the Inc. 5000, including company profiles and an interactive database that can be sorted by industry, region, and other criteria, can be found at www.inc.com/inc5000.

“The Inc. 5000 list stands out where it really counts,” says Inc. President and Editor-In-Chief Eric Schurenberg. “It honors real achievement by a founder or a team of them. No one makes the Inc. 5000 without building something great – usually from scratch. That’s one of the hardest things to do in business, as every company founder knows. But without it, free enterprise fails.”

Inc. 5000 Methodology

The Inc. 5000 is ranked according to percentage revenue growth when comparing year-over-year growth. To qualify, companies must have been founded and generating revenue by a specified date. They had to be U.S.-based, privately held, for-profit, and independent—not subsidiaries or divisions of other companies—as of the specified deadline. (Since then, a number of companies on the list have gone public or been acquired.) The minimum revenue required for the first year reviewed is $100,000; the minimum for the final target year is $2 million. As always, Inc. reserves the right to decline applicants for subjective reasons. Companies on the Inc. 500 are featured in Inc.’s September issue. They represent the top tier of the Inc. 5000, which can be found at http://www.inc.com/inc5000.
